Dave Waters, Lead PastorDave became the Lead Pastor of SHBC in April of 2008. Dave and Pam have served churches in Spain and Italy as missionary/church planters starting in 1987. Upon returning from Italy, Dave and Pam served as the Lead Pastor of the Napa Valley Baptist Church in Napa, California until 2004. Dave later served the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in their evangelistic efforts in Latin America until December of 2007, when He and Pam accepted the call of SHBC. Dave is passionate about proclaiming and living God's message of love and forgiveness to the people of Northern Virginia. Pam passionately serves the children of our community by leading our children's service (K'motion). Dave and Pam have two daughters.

Ryan McAllister, Pastor of Communications
Ryan is a native of Northern Virginia. He joined the leadership team of SHBC in November 2009. After attending Messiah College, he transferred and later graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Philosophy and Religion. Ryan is passionate about many things: his wife Amy, comic books, art, Redskins football, apologetics and New Testament studies. Along with Amy, he is excited to see God work in this community and is humbled by being apart of it at SHBC.

Kevin Handley, Pastor of Student Ministries
Another Virginia native, Kevin grew up in Farmville, VA. He joined the SHBC pastoral team November 2012. He is a graduate of Liberty University where he majored in Religion. He has lived in NOVA since he married his wife, a William and Mary graduate, Marion, in 2007. Kevin and Marion have two young daughters with a third child on the way. He loves Jesus, his family, and sports of all kinds. He is passionate about sharing and teaching about God’s amazing plan, and teaching youth how to live for Christ for the rest of their lives.
